¹⁷ And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile. You are still in your sins. ¹⁸ Then also the ones having fallen-asleep in Christ perished^[a]. ¹⁹ If we are ones having hoped in Christ in this life only, we are more pitiable^[b] than all people.
